Project Overview

The B_Green project aims to improve the quality of life in historic urban environments by designing and planning green infrastructures that promote biodiversity. In collaboration with ten partner institutions, this project will analyze urban indicators in cities such as Cuenca (Spain), Coimbra (Portugal), Naples (Italy), and Nicosia (Cyprus).

Key Responsibilities

As a predoctoral researcher, you will:

  • Conduct geospatial analyses to assess current and potential spatial conditions in historic urban centers.
  • Develop co-design methodologies and guide partners in their application.
  • Contribute to the creation of design principles and develop a Good Practice Guide.
  • Manage and analyze both spatial and non-spatial data following established protocols.
  • Participate in co-design workshops to engage citizens in the project.
  • Collaborate with consortium partners across multiple locations and contribute to publishing research findings.

Who Should Apply?

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in relevant fields such as urban planning, landscape architecture, architectural construction, or human geography.
  • Experience with multicriteria geospatial analysis using GIS and knowledge of spatial statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage various tasks effectively.
