The Department of Architecture at NUS is recognized among the top 10 globally and is the best in Asia for Architecture/Built Environment, according to the QS World University Rankings (2023). The department offers a professionally accredited Master of Architecture program, along with a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in urban planning, design, landscape architecture, and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will engage in:
- Research and Design: Conducting research in areas such as geospatial analysis, urbanism, ecology, and landscape engineering.
- Teaching: Contributing to landscape design studios for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as core modules related to ecological systems, landscape policy, and materials engineering.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Developing research that addresses pressing environmental, urban, and social challenges in Asia.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Research Engagement: Active involvement in landscape architectural research and design.
- Interdisciplinary Interests: A focus on interdisciplinary research that tackles environmental and social issues.
- Teaching Experience: Experience in landscape design studios and relevant core modules.
- Professional Practice: Preferred experience in professional practice or membership in relevant professional bodies.
Candidates with a strong research profile and international standing may be considered for tenured faculty positions.
