Project Overview
The ArchLabour project focuses on the intersection of architecture, colonialism, and labour, aiming to explore how these elements influence one another in various contexts. The fellowship will involve a comprehensive research agenda, including:
- Conducting literature reviews and archiving architectural documentation.
- Validating case studies related to transport networks and energy production.
- Producing and publishing scientific outputs such as journal articles and book chapters.
- Participating in study missions and fieldwork to gather data.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this fellowship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Architecture with a classification of 14/20 or higher.
- Experience in research funding applications is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven participation in research projects, particularly financed by FCT.
- Experience in organizing field trips to case study countries (e.g., Angola, Mozambique).
- Research alignment with the objectives of the ArchLabour project is a plus.
- Proficiency in Portuguese (native level) and basic English is required.
Benefits
The fellowship offers a monthly grant of €1,259.64, along with reimbursement for voluntary social insurance and personal accident insurance. The fellowship duration is 7 months, with potential for renewal based on project needs and funding availability.
