The Centre for Environment and Ageing Well (ENgAGE) focuses on enhancing the physical, psychological, and social well-being of individuals across all age groups. The centre is committed to coordinating aging-related research, education, and resources within the NUS community while fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
Project Overview
The “Comparative Study of Housing Typologies for Seniors” (CS-HTS) project aims to explore and recommend housing models that support aging in place and enhance the quality of life for older adults. This project takes a community science approach, engaging with a multidisciplinary team of experts in fields such as architecture, urban design, social sciences, public health, and urban economics.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Research Fellow, you will:
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with both internal and external collaborators to ensure the project’s success.
- Lead a Research Team: Supervise and mentor junior research staff, guiding them in systematic literature reviews, survey design, and data analysis.
- Prepare Research Outputs: Draft abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and reports, and present findings to varied audiences.
- Communicate Insights: Effectively share key insights and provide constructive feedback to the research team.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, candidates should have:
- A PhD in Architecture, Urban Planning, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of relevant working experience, including program or project management.
- Strong expertise in areas such as aging in place, urban design for older adults, and inclusive urban planning.
- Experience developing evaluation frameworks or assessment tools related to built environments and health.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
