The Department of Architecture (D-Arch) at ETH Zurich is inviting applications for the position of Guest Lecturer to teach a Design Studio. This is a unique opportunity for independent architects to bring innovative teaching approaches to architectural design and engage with the next generation of architects.

Contract Type: Fixed-term, for one semester between Fall 2025 and Spring 2027
ETH Zurich is looking for creative and forward-thinking individuals to lead a design studio with 25 Bachelor and Master students. This role focuses on addressing contemporary challenges in architecture and construction, with an emphasis on sustainability, digital craftsmanship, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Guest Lecturer, you will:

Develop and teach a design studio that engages with pressing architectural topics such as climate change, housing shortages, and the reuse of materials.
Conduct regular intermediate reviews and final presentations, promoting an exchange of ideas among students and faculty.
Foster a dynamic, interdisciplinary teaching environment that empowers students to become responsible actors in the field of architecture.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Be part of a team that includes at least one practicing architect.
Have no more than two years of teaching experience in independently leading a design studio at any architectural faculty.
Commit to a weekly presence on campus.
