About the StoryPharm Project

The StoryPharm project aims to train a new generation of researchers specializing in the health humanities, focusing on how storytelling has influenced health and wellness in premodern societies and beyond. This interdisciplinary program offers a unique platform for doctoral fellows to engage in groundbreaking research while acquiring essential skills for their future careers.

Key Responsibilities

The doctoral fellows will:

  • Conduct in-depth research on various topics related to storytelling and health in historical contexts.
  • Collaborate with an international and interdisciplinary team of researchers.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops designed to enhance their academic and professional skills.

Qualifications

Required Criteria

To apply, candidates must:

  • Hold or be about to obtain a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Ancient or Medieval History, Art History, Religious Studies, or Cultural Heritage Studies.
  • Be motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to engage with diverse research methodologies.
  • Not already hold a doctoral title and meet the mobility rule (less than 12 months of residence in the recruiting country within the last 3 years).

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with digital humanities and previous experience in international research teams will be advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant historical languages (e.g., Latin, Greek) is also beneficial.
