About the Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various construction projects, ensuring that they align with client expectations and UMH guidelines. You will be responsible for guiding projects from concept through completion, providing essential support at every stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Oversight: Manage and review all aspects of project delivery for both owned and leased facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling: Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets while formulating cost estimates and requirements.
  • Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between FPD and specific departments, leveraging your understanding of construction to assist in problem-solving and project sequencing.
  • Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and other necessary documents to facilitate efficient communication and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local building codes, as well as hospital life safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Candidates interested in applying should meet the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a similar field from an accredited program.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience working as a construction manager or project manager, particularly in healthcare facilities.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Autodesk AutoCAD.
