- Salary: $78 per podium hour (approximately $2,574 for a 4-unit course)

Course Description
The Landscape Architecture program covers a wide range of subjects, including:
- Landscape Concept through Detail Design
- Site Planning and Inventory
- History of Landscape Architecture
- Hand and Digital Graphic Design
- Plant Identification and California Native Plants
- Stormwater Management
- AutoCAD and Irrigation Design
- Construction Documentation
Classes are conducted in a hybrid format, with sessions held once a week for 11 weeks. Most meetings are remote via Zoom, with two face-to-face classes in the Los Angeles area.
Instructor Responsibilities
As an instructor, you will:
- Develop and update course syllabi in collaboration with the UCLA Extension Program Director.
- Prepare and deliver engaging course materials using the Canvas platform.
- Clearly communicate course objectives and grading policies to students.
- Evaluate student performance and post final grades within two weeks of the last class.
- Respond to student inquiries and needs in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- A BLA, BSLA, MLA, MSLA, or a Landscape Architecture Certificate, with a current license preferred.
- Experience in college-level teaching in landscape architecture or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to high academic standards.
- Proficiency in instructional technology and online teaching tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum design and student assessment is highly desirable.
