Key Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Wind Tunnel Operations: Setting up and operating wind tunnel equipment for urban airflow experiments.
  • Conducting Experiments: Performing wind tunnel experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to analyze urban airflow.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing experimental and simulation data to summarize key findings and collaborate with team members in designing experiments and methodologies.
  • Research Documentation: Assisting in the preparation of research proposals, technical reports, and scientific publications.
  • Project Support: Supporting project administration and supervising undergraduate students involved in research activities.

Qualifications

Candidates interested in this position should meet the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CFD simulation software is essential. Experience with wind tunnel or water tunnel experiments is a plus.
  • Research Passion: A strong interest in research with the ability to work semi-independently.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to present research findings effectively to both academic and general audiences.
  • Preferred Experience: Programming skills and knowledge of AI/machine learning are advantageous. Candidates with a strong publication record and those considering a PhD will be prioritized.
