About the Scholarship

The UK Academic Excellence Scholarship is designed to reward outstanding academic achievement among new home students. Those who achieve exceptional grades in their A-levels (or equivalent) and come from low participation areas will benefit from this scholarship, reflecting the university’s commitment to inclusivity and academic excellence.

Scholarship Details

  • Value: Up to £3,000 over the duration of a three-year degree.
  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Achieve AAA or higher in A-levels (or equivalent from three Level 3 qualifications).
    • Come from a low participation area as defined by POLAR 4 in quintile areas 1 and 2.
  • Applicable Courses: All full-time undergraduate courses.
  • Number of Scholarships: Unlimited—every eligible student will receive the award.

Payment Structure

  • First Year: £1,000, paid in two instalments (November and April).
  • Subsequent Years: £1,000 per year, contingent on satisfactory progression (average of 58% or above across all modules).

How to Apply

The best part? There’s no need for a separate application! Students will be automatically assessed for the scholarship based on their academic results. If you meet the criteria, you’ll receive the scholarship without any additional paperwork. Successful recipients will be notified by the end of October 2024.
