About the Department
The Department of Architecture at NUS is globally recognized, ranked among the top 10 in the world and the best in Asia for Architecture and the Built Environment, as per the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2023). The department offers a variety of accredited programs, including the Master of Architecture, as well as undergraduate and graduate programs in urban planning, landscape architecture, and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Engage in landscape architectural research and design, focusing on areas such as geospatial analysis, landscape representation, urbanism, ecology, infrastructure, and landscape engineering.
- Develop interdisciplinary research that addresses pressing environmental, urban, and social challenges in Asia.
- Contribute to landscape design studios for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Teach core modules related to geodesign, ecological systems, landscape policy and planning, and materials or site engineering.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- A strong engagement in landscape architectural research and design.
- Experience in professional practice or membership with relevant professional bodies is preferred.

- A Statement of Teaching (maximum of two pages) and a sample syllabus for a relevant course.
- A Statement of Research (maximum of three pages) outlining a short research plan for the next three to five years and citing up to five significant publications or contributions.

- A Portfolio of Creative Works (optional).
