The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Fellow at the ARC Centre for Next-Gen Architectural Manufacturing (Arch_Manu). Position Overview

Key Details:

  • Job Title: Research Associate/Postdoctoral Fellow
  • Location: Kensington Campus, Sydney, NSW
  • Work Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
  • Duration: 4-year fixed term
  • Remuneration: Level A salary between $88,290 – $117,718, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.

This role provides an opportunity to engage in collaborative research with a focus on enhancing the quality and impact of the Centre’s outcomes. You will report directly to the Centre Director, M. Hank Haeusler, and work alongside a team of leading experts in architecture, engineering, and design.

Responsibilities

As a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Fellow, you will:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research, contributing to the Centre’s projects.
  • Engage with industry partners to embed research activities and generate practical outcomes.
  • Prepare Human Research Ethics applications and undertake relevant research activities, including surveys and literature reviews.
  • Support the dissemination of research findings through publications in Q1 journals and the creation of reports and training content for industry stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline such as business, architecture, design, engineering, or computer science.
  • Strong experience in academic research and collaboration with industry partners.
  • Proven skills in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
  • A track record of publications and conference presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
