About the Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of building design and construction for projects often exceeding $20 million. You will be working under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Planning, Design & Construction, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Manage new construction, renovation, and capital renewal projects, coordinating multiple projects with tight timelines and fixed budgets.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with client representatives to understand program requirements and maintain excellent vendor relations.
- Budget Oversight: Establish and monitor project budgets, provide cash flow projections, and manage all financial aspects including invoices and change orders.
- Design Coordination: Ensure adherence to design standards and promote sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communication: Provide timely updates to stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed about project status and any potential risks.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least ten years of project management experience in construction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge: Familiarity with architectural and engineering principles, project administration, and sustainable construction methodologies.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and experience with AutoCAD and BIM are highly desirable.
