About the Scholarship

The Keith Howard Emerald Scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Keith Howard OBE, a distinguished philanthropist, academic, and businessman. A graduate of Bradford’s School of Management, Dr. Howard co-founded Emerald Publishing in 1967, which has grown into a leading global academic publisher. His commitment to education and community support continues through the Keith Howard Foundation, which he established to promote the arts, sports, and education in West Yorkshire.

The University of Bradford seeks to award two full-fee Master’s scholarships to students who demonstrate the same academic excellence and motivation that defined Dr. Howard’s life.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Keith Howard Emerald Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a home student.
• Identify as a Black or Minority Ethnic student.
• Display academic excellence, which can be demonstrated through:
  • A strong degree award.
  • A compelling personal statement outlining motivations and potential contributions to the cohort.

Applicable Courses

The scholarship is available for all MSc programs offered by the School of Management at the University of Bradford. This includes a wide range of specializations designed to equip students with essential skills for their future careers.

Payment Benefits
