Role Description
This position is embedded within the Modular & Integrated Sustainable Datacenter (MISD) project, a key initiative under the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) aimed at developing sustainable and efficient datacenter solutions. The project focuses on creating a decentralized network of data centers, enhancing energy efficiency, and improving cybersecurity.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will lead efforts in developing task scheduling solutions that optimize data processing and energy consumption across these innovative datacenters.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing energy-efficient scheduling algorithms for datacenter operations.
- Collaborating with a PhD researcher on related topics and providing supervision.
- Engaging with project partners to drive innovation and share knowledge.
- Participating in the broader IPCEI network, which connects over 100 companies across Europe.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates should possess:
- A PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Expertise in task scheduling within datacenters, with a solid understanding of algorithm theory and stochastics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
