Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme, students must meet the following requirements:

  • New Students: Must be starting at the University of Bradford in the 2025/26 academic year.
  • Home and EU Students: Must be paying Home fees and studying full-time.
  • Family Income: Must have a family income of under £30,000, as assessed by the relevant student finance service.
  • Course Fees: Students must be paying the full course fee, which is currently £9,250 for standard degree courses.
  • Engagement: Students must be fully engaged with their programme of study, including attending lectures, submitting coursework, and taking exams.

Application Process

The application process for the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is straightforward. Eligible students do not need to apply directly for the bursary. Instead, the university will automatically identify qualifying students using information from the Student Loans Company. However, students must be financially assessed by July 31, 2025, to receive their bursary for the academic year starting in September 2025.
