As part of this commitment, the university is pleased to announce the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme for the academic year 2024/25. This initiative aims to provide financial support to deserving home students, helping to alleviate the financial pressures of university life.

About the Bursary Scheme

The Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is designed to support home students whose family incomes are under £30,000 per year. This bursary is an excellent opportunity for students to receive additional financial assistance while pursuing their undergraduate studies.

Key Details

  • Bursary Amount:
    • Year 1: £500
    • Year 2: £600
    • Year 3 and Subsequent Years: £700
  • Payment Schedule: Bursaries are paid in the last week of March directly into the student’s bank account via the Student Loans Company.
  • Applicable Courses: All full-time undergraduate courses.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the bursary, students must meet the following requirements:

  • New students starting at the University of Bradford in 2024/25.
  • Must be a home or EU student paying home fees and studying full-time.

  • Students must pay the full course fee (£9,250 for a standard degree course).
  • Must be fully engaged with their program of study, including regular attendance and coursework submission.

How to Apply

The best part of the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is that students do not need to apply directly for the bursary. The university will automatically identify eligible students using information from the Student Loans Company. However, it is essential that financial assessments are completed by 31 July 2025 to receive the bursary for the academic year.
