Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Curriculum Leadership: Design and implement innovative, interdisciplinary curricula focused on urban systems, sustainable cities, and smart technologies.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Cultivate partnerships with international academic institutions, government organizations, and industry stakeholders to enhance the program’s global impact.
- Educational Innovation: Utilize AI and blended learning methods to create forward-thinking educational approaches that prepare students for future urban challenges.
- Strategic Vision: Provide leadership and guidance for the strategic direction of NUS Cities’ educational programs, ensuring alignment with sustainability initiatives and the evolving needs of smart cities.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or equivalent in a city or urban-related discipline, such as architecture, urban economics, sociology, or engineering.
- Substantial teaching experience with evidence of impactful contributions in higher education settings.
Desired Experience
- Relevant experience in sustainable city planning, smart technologies, or urban systems will be highly advantageous.
