About the Role
As part of the Building Robotics Laboratory, you will contribute to the development of advanced sensing, learning, and control systems aimed at creating energy-efficient, human-centered, and comfortable environments. The role will involve working on innovative projects related to building facades, cooling systems, and smart robotics.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your main responsibilities will include:
- Research and Development: Participate in the design and implementation of new tools and technologies to enhance building performance.
- Standards Application: Extract and incorporate relevant standards (such as ASHRAE and WELL) into product designs, ensuring effective communication with the engineering team.
- Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and refine smart building systems and automation controls.
- Documentation: Assist in writing research papers, reports, and proposals to document findings and progress.
Qualifications
Candidates interested in this position should meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Building Science or a related field, along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) factors and familiarity with personalized environmental design and control.
- Skills: Ability to multi-task, work independently, and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
