The University of Bradford is excited to announce the UK Academic Excellence Scholarships for the academic year 2025/26. This scholarship program aims to recognize and reward high-achieving students while promoting access to higher education for those from low participation areas.

About the UK Academic Excellence Scholarships

The UK Academic Excellence Scholarships are designed for Home students who achieve outstanding academic results. Students who secure grades of AAA or higher in their A-levels (or equivalent qualifications) are eligible for cash scholarships worth up to £3,000 over the duration of their three-year degree program. This financial support not only helps reduce tuition costs but also encourages students to strive for academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Academic Achievement: Must achieve AAA or higher in A-levels or equivalent qualifications, from three Level 3 qualifications (Note: Foundation years are not considered equivalent).
2. Low Participation Area: Must be from a low participation area as defined by the POLAR 4 classification, specifically in quintile areas 1 and 2, which represent the lowest participation areas.
3. Domicile: Students must be domiciled in the UK, including EU nationals residing in the UK.

Scholarship Benefits

• Amount: Students will receive £1,000 in the first year and an additional £1,000 in subsequent years, contingent on maintaining satisfactory academic progress (an average of 58.00% or above across all modules).
• Payment Schedule: The scholarship amount will be paid in two equal instalments in November and April each academic year.

Application Process

The best part? There is no need to submit a separate application for the scholarship. Students will be automatically assessed based on their academic performance, and those who qualify will be notified by the end of October 2025. If you have the grades, you have the scholarship!
