Unlocking Opportunities: Postgraduate Bursary for 2024/25 at the University of Bradford

The University of Bradford is thrilled to announce the availability of the Postgraduate Bursary for prospective students enrolling in full-time taught Master’s or research postgraduate programs for the academic year 2024/25. This bursary is designed to support students in their academic pursuits while alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with higher education.

What the Bursary Offers

The Postgraduate Bursary provides a financial benefit of £500 to eligible students. This payment will be made upon receipt of a valid application, giving students a valuable boost as they embark on their postgraduate studies.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the Postgraduate Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Residency: Must be from the UK or EU. EU students must have completed their undergraduate degree in England to qualify.
2. Program Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a full-time taught Master’s or research postgraduate program while self-funding.
3. Recent Graduation: Must have graduated from an undergraduate program within the last 10 years.
4. Financial Support History: Must have received a full maintenance grant from a Local Authority or the Student Loans Company in the final year of undergraduate study. Alternatively, students who started their studies from September 2015 onwards must have received a full means-tested maintenance loan from the Student Loans Company.

How to Apply

Applying for the Postgraduate Bursary is straightforward:

1. Email Application: Interested students should email bursaries@bradford.ac.uk with their name and UB number.
2. Receive Application Form: Once your email is received, the university will send you an application form to complete.

Important Note:

Students can only claim one discount or bursary from the University for their studies. For example, if you are eligible for both the Alumni fee discount and the Postgraduate Bursary, you will need to choose the award of the highest value.

The closing date for applications is 31 July 2025, so it’s essential to act promptly to secure this financial support.
