Financial Support for Students: The Undergraduate Bursary Scheme for 2025/26
Website University of Bradford
The University of Bradford is proud to announce the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme for the academic year 2025/26. This initiative aims to support students from various backgrounds, ensuring that higher education remains accessible to all.
About the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme
The Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is designed specifically for Home students whose family incomes are under £30,000 a year. This financial support is essential in helping students cover the costs of their education, allowing them to focus on their studies without the burden of financial stress.
Key Details of the Bursary
- Eligibility: Open to new full-time undergraduate students starting at the University of Bradford in 2025/26. Students studying for a second degree are not eligible. Both Home and EU students paying Home fees can apply.
- Income Assessment: Applicants must have a family income below £30,000, as assessed by the relevant student finance service.
- Payment Amounts:
- Year 1: £500
- Year 2: £600
- Year 3 and subsequent years: £700
Bursaries are paid directly into students’ bank accounts through the Student Loans Company, typically in the last week of March.
Application Process
One of the most convenient aspects of the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is that eligible students will be automatically identified using information from the Student Loans Company. There is no need for students to apply directly, but it is important to ensure that they are financially assessed by July 31, 2025 to receive their bursary for the academic year.
