Position Overview

Research Areas

The selected candidates will contribute to a variety of funded state-of-the-art research projects, including the AM2PM Project. This project focuses on Additive to Predictive Manufacturing for Multistorey Construction, integrating learning by printing and networked robotics.

Key components of the project include:

• Deriving configurations for constructing high-rise buildings.
• Developing agent simulation models to optimize construction processes.
• Exploring the deployment and relocation of 3D construction equipment.

Qualifications

For PhD Candidates:

• A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, or closely related fields.
• An MSc or equivalent with a strong thesis component.

For Post-Doctoral Candidates:

• A completed or soon-to-be-completed PhD in a relevant field.

Desired Skills:

• Enthusiasm for automation and digitalization in the built environment.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in software coding (Python, AnyLogic®).
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
