NUS Cities is a multidisciplinary platform committed to creating liveable, sustainable, and resilient urban environments. The initiative focuses on three core pillars:
- Education: Training the next generation of urban planners and practitioners using a systems approach.
- Research: Addressing key urban challenges and gradually developing a comprehensive Science of Cities.
- Advisory: Offering strategic advisory services to organizations and cities, collaborating with local and international partners.
Key Responsibilities
As a Research Fellow, you will be responsible for:
- Database Management: Establishing and managing large datasets relevant to urban research.
- Data Analysis: Interpreting and analyzing data to derive actionable insights.
- Reporting: Generating reports and presentations for stakeholders, showcasing research findings.
- Collaboration: Working across teams on multiple research projects and contributing to the development of new research ideas.
- Publication: Preparing conference presentations and papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: A Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- Research Interests: Candidates should have a keen interest in urban studies, specifically in:
- Climate Resilience
- Ageing and Health
- Transportation and Land Use
- Urban Observatory
- Publication Record: At least three recent and relevant journal papers related to the above areas.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Personal Attributes: Resourceful, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
