The National University of Singapore (NUS) is pleased to announce openings for up to four Tenure Track positions in Landscape Architecture within its esteemed Department of Architecture. About the Department
NUS’s Department of Architecture is celebrated for its high standards of education and research. Ranked among the top 10 in the world and the best in Asia for Architecture and the Built Environment by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2023), the department offers a professionally accredited Master of Architecture program alongside a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as urban planning, landscape architecture, and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Engage in active landscape architectural research and design, focusing on areas such as geospatial analysis, landscape representation, urbanism, ecology, infrastructure, and landscape engineering.
- Develop interdisciplinary research that addresses critical environmental, urban, and social challenges in Asia.
- Contribute to landscape design studios for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Teach core modules related to geodesign, ecological systems, landscape policy and planning, and materials or site engineering.
- Depending on their rank, candidates may also be considered for leadership roles within the Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- A strong engagement in landscape architectural research and design.
- Experience in professional practice or membership with relevant professional bodies is preferred.
Application Process

- A complete Curriculum Vitae.
- A Statement of Teaching (maximum of two pages) along with a sample syllabus for a relevant course.
- A Statement of Research (maximum of three pages), including a short research plan for the next three to five years and citing up to five significant publications or contributions.
- Contact details for four referees (who will be contacted only if shortlisted).
- A Portfolio of Creative Works (optional).
