About the Department

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teach required studio courses for the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programs.
  • Actively engage in shaping design pedagogy within the core studio curriculum.
  • Collaborate with faculty across disciplines, including architecture and urban planning.
  • Advise thesis students and participate in project reviews and guest critiques.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • A recognized record of distinguished accomplishments in landscape architecture or related fields.
  • A graduate degree in landscape architecture is preferred, though candidates with degrees in related design fields will be considered.
  • A doctoral degree is desirable but not mandatory.

Additional Qualifications

  • Expertise in one or more areas such as material culture, climate, design innovation, geography, and urbanization.
  • Capacity for cross-disciplinary research and pedagogy.
  • Commitment to shaping contemporary debates on ecological and environmental resources.
