The Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) is pleased to announce the opening for a CGBC Fellow at the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities (CGBC). This position offers a unique opportunity for early-career researchers focused on the critical intersection of building sciences, energy, and ecology.

About the CGBC Fellowship
The CGBC Fellowship is designed for individuals who hold a Ph.D. or a Doctorate Degree in areas related to building sciences. The fellowship emphasizes applied and conceptual research that addresses the pressing environmental challenges facing the built environment today.
Fellows will be hosted at the CGBC, where they will conduct research relevant to their field and teach two classes at the Graduate School of Design. Participants will have access to HouseZero, a unique site for interdisciplinary research and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Fellows will be expected to:
- Conduct independent research in areas related to building sciences, focusing on various scales of inquiry.
- Teach two courses at the GSD, contributing to the academic experience of design students.
- Collaborate with other researchers and scholars, both within and outside the GSD, to share findings and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Doctorate Degree in a relevant field related to building sciences.
Additional Qualifications
- A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience or interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
