Position Overview

Job Title: Research Fellow (Design Technology)

Location: Kent Ridge Campus, Singapore
Appointment Type: Full-time, one-year contract (with the possibility of renewal for up to three years based on performance)
Expected Start: End of 2024 or early 2025

Key Responsibilities

As a Research Fellow, you will:

  • Develop Generative AI Models: Create and implement AI models aimed at enhancing urban landscape planning and design.
  • Data Analysis: Interpret and analyze data to support design decisions.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with a diverse team to conduct thorough research across disciplines.
  • Publishing Research: Document and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at academic conferences.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to create research proposals and grant applications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: A PhD in Environmental Science, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge and interest in design technology.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical and programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and R.
  • Experience: Background in spatial analysis and handling large-scale datasets.
  • Publications: A strong publication record demonstrating your research contributions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent scientific writing and communication abilities.
