About the Bursary Scheme

The Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is designed specifically for home students whose family incomes are below £30,000 per year.     • Year 1: £500
    • Year 2: £600
    • Year 3 and Subsequent Years: £700
  • Payment Timing: Bursaries will be paid in the last week of March directly into students’ bank accounts via the Student Loans Company.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the bursary, students must meet the following conditions:

  • Be a new student starting at the University of Bradford in 2024/25.
  • Be classified as a home or EU student paying home fees and studying full-time.
  • Have a family income assessed at under £30,000 by the relevant student finance service.
  • Pay the full course fee of £9,250 for a standard degree course.
  • Fully engage with their program of study, including attending lectures, submitting coursework, and sitting for exams.

How to Apply

The process for applying for the Undergraduate Bursary Scheme is straightforward. Students do not need to apply directly; the university will automatically identify eligible students using data from the Student Loans Company. However, it is essential that financial assessments are completed by 31 July 2025 to receive the bursary for the academic year starting in September 2024.
