Project Background
The Centre for Origin and Prevalence of Life is a collaborative initiative involving multiple departments at ETH Zurich. Fellowship Details
Duration and Structure
The NOMIS–ETH Fellowship lasts for three years, with the potential for a fourth year based on a successful review after 18 months. This fellowship is highly competitive, with only three positions available for 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must have completed their doctorate within the last three years, although exceptions may be made in justified cases. Applicants should ideally possess:
- Postdoctoral experience or interdisciplinary training.
- An affiliation with an academic or research institution.
Application Process
Interested candidates should submit their applications by November 8, 2024, at 17:00 Swiss local time. The application package must include:
- Cover Letter: Signed and dated, outlining the candidate’s qualifications.
- Complete CV: Including a publication list.
- Research Project Description: Using a provided template, detailing the project’s relevance and interdisciplinary nature.
- Invitation Letter: From a host professor, stating the candidate’s suitability and financial support for the fourth year.
- Ethical Issues Form: Completed using the provided template.
- Signed Code of Conduct: Also provided in a template format.
- Two Reference Letters: Sent directly to the COPL office by the referees.
