About ENgAGE
The position is part of the Centre for Environment and Ageing Well (ENgAGE), which is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practices that promote physical, psychological, and social well-being across all age groups. ENgAGE aims to coordinate aging-related research and foster collaboration among various stakeholders, ensuring that environments are conducive to healthy aging.
Project Overview
The Research Assistant will support the Comparative Study of Housing Typologies for Seniors (CS-HTS) project. This study investigates how existing and future housing can be adapted to enhance aging in place and improve the quality of life for seniors in urban areas. Utilizing a community science approach, the project integrates insights from multiple disciplines, including architecture, urban design, social sciences, and public health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic literature reviews and ethnographic studies.
- Participate in data collection through interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
- Analyze qualitative data and interpret findings.
- Write detailed reports and academic papers.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A Master’s degree in Public Health, Urban Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: At least one year of relevant research experience, particularly in systematic literature reviews, surveys, and qualitative research methods.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills in both qualitative and quantitative data, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
