Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Design & Construction Senior Project Manager to join their esteemed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced project managers to lead significant construction and renovation projects on one of the most prestigious campuses in the country.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of building design and construction for various projects, which may include new constructions, renovations, and tenant fit-outs across multiple campuses, including the historic Homewood campus and others. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Manage construction, renovation, and capital renewal projects with budgets often exceeding $100 million.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including university deans, department chairs, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Client Engagement: Provide exemplary customer service and keep clients informed about project status, budgets, and timelines.
- Budget Oversight: Establish and maintain project budgets, manage cash flow projections, and approve invoices and change orders.
- Sustainability: Promote sustainable practices throughout the project delivery process.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least ten years of project management experience in the construction industry.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to various audiences.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Office and MS Project.
