Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will operate under the supervision of the Associate Director of Design & Construction. This position is vital for overseeing all phases of building design and construction for various projects, including new constructions, renovations, and tenant fit-outs across multiple JHU campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead a variety of projects, each often exceeding $20 million in cost, while ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with client representatives to review program requirements and implement economic inclusion goals.
  • Budget Oversight: Establish and monitor project budgets, prepare cash flow projections, and approve invoices and change orders.
  • Construction Coordination: Manage logistics and ensure compliance with JHU’s design standards throughout the construction process.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in construction or project management, demonstrating a strong track record in delivering exceptional customer service.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Office, MS Project) and familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM.
  • Strong knowledge of design and construction methodologies, emphasizing sustainable practices.
