Exciting Opportunity: Research Fellow in Senior Housing Typology at NUS

The National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a dedicated Research Fellow to join the Centre for Environment and Ageing Well (ENgAGE). This position is part of the Comparative Study of Housing Typologies for Seniors (CS-HTS) project, which aims to adapt housing for aging populations in urban settings.

Project Overview
The CS-HTS project investigates how existing and future housing can better support older adults, allowing them to age in place. This research will use a community science approach, engaging various experts in architecture, urban design, social sciences, public health, and more. Through both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies, the project aims to develop and evaluate integrated senior housing models tailored for Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
As a Research Fellow, you will:
- Collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Supervise junior research staff in conducting systematic literature reviews, designing surveys, and analyzing quantitative data.
- Prepare research outputs, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and reports.
- Present findings to diverse audiences, effectively communicating insights and feedback.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should have:
- A Ph.D. in Public Health, Urban Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience.
- Strong expertise in data science and statistical analysis.
- Experience in developing evaluation frameworks, particularly related to the built environment, health, or well-being.
- Skills in designing attributes and analyzing discrete choice experiments would be beneficial.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
